Fifty Word Fantasy: Clichéd Tale

The constable stopped him mid-sentence. “What is this? The beginning of some clichéd tale?”

Cedric the barkeep gave him a squint amid the demolished tavern. “Nay! ‘Twas no man in plate ‘an mail that did this! ‘Twas all cloud and lightnin’ within that armor!”

Oh! A dark and stormy knight!
