Superhero Flash Fiction: Reaction

“Look, Hydron,” Alkali said, changing her chemistry. “I’m your super-nemesis and all, but if we don’t destroy this doomsday machine…”

“Right,” he nodded shifting to his water body. “You know, maybe instead of us fighting all these years… we should’ve been dating.”

“You know what? Yeah… Let’s end it on that,” she replied opening her arms and becoming pure sodium. “Hug me, you drip.”
