The Scribe of the Vault of Orendathos won the April 24th Aether Prompt, like poet writing prose:
“There’s a fire in the garden,” she said. Her voice was a snarl and a purr. The laugh that followed was a bark. Amidst the green brush her mane flared like a dozen sinuous tongues, all whispering a different, tangled promise.
While her feet were silent, with a predators grace, my eyes tracked her wake in the brush. The leaves, shifting like ripples in a forest pond, shook with the branch crackling of my hidden flame.
“Show me the fire, that I might quench it.” My words were as the flowers on the leaves. Open and wanting.
Congratulations! Now you’re in the running for the 2019 AETHEREAL ENGINEER WRITER SUPPORT PRIZE PACKAGE! How might he, or possibly you, perchance win such fabled treasure as this? Take a look at my weekly Aether Prompts and find out!
