Pepper tamed a grin stroking a lock of her hair behind an elfin ear. “Thank you for saving me from—”
“Colossal trouble?” Briar finished.
She nodded. “I’ve never met a wildling before.”
“Wildling?!” he huffed. “What are you? Some sort of house brownie?”
