He surveyed the Mayan ruins. “So, even as their society and agriculture was breaking, they did nothing? Ignored it? What craven fools.”

The guide glanced at the tourist’s MAGA hat and ‘Climate Change Conspiracy’ shirt. “Well, we have the hindsight of history…”
