Flash Fiction: Once and Future

She lay, embedded in stone, deep within the lake Bedivere inurned her to.

Epochs pass. Progress comes. War and fire follow. Water drains.

She refuses the grip of savage generations. Then, a noble touch

Her king, once and future.

She releases.

She is drawn.
