Flash Fiction: Live Stock

Jamie had always been sick. I cried as he was taken to the Grinder for early harvest.

When news reached our concentration farm that the overlords were dying, we rose up and attacked the sick few that remained.

Free at last, I found the marks of his disease upon the dead aliens.

My brother was mankind’s savior.
