Flash Fiction: Cousins

Her note on a napkin strikes him with surprise: Show me yours and I’ll show you mine.

After Thanksgiving dinner, the teen cousins sneak into his bedroom.

“We’re freaks,” she says as they take off shirts.

Hidden wings unfurled. His black, hers like a blue jay’s.
