The Lost

The amalgamated thing moved as one. A hundred people half-melded into the limbs of a broken god screamed as individuals.

“Please, my family,” the farmer begged.

The wizard’s shoulders sagged. “I cannot unmeld them, only end their torment.”

He summoned fire.
