She drifted over the wizard’s upturned palm.
“Greetings, Daughter of Oak,” he said.
The spirit spoke in whispers, an acorn floating within a hooded cloak of curled green leaf. “Merlin, there is danger. A sickness in the trees. And foul, evil men.”
