She paled. "You're dead!" He nodded. "I've sung the Song of Doom!" the diva bellowed. "Not even you-" Ziggy Stardust took the mic.
She opened the box. "Healing balm, socks, moon charms... Ooh! Invisibility potion!" "Your mom's witch's care packages are the best!"
The boy prisoner cried as the angry mob beat him. "Death to the psion!" His sister unleashed her power, and a revolution began.
He hit the wall. "A 32 point lead? When I negated his powers I thought he'd be done! Not the President in 10 years!"
She watched him field a toy robot army -uniting their children's forces of ponies and Barbies, tanks and army men- in loving bliss.
She coughed a breath, and overjoyed he embraced her. "The eclipse?" "Over." "The world?" "Ended." "We-" "Begin again."
She awoke with a cry, then wiped tears and dancing visions from her eyes. "Sugarplums!" the child screamed. "Krampus is coming!"
