The king handed his child to the Widowed Queen, then turned his back as she was led away.

“Tis a weak king that sells his daughter into slavery, to sate an enemy,” the Queen said.

“I’m, your slave?” the princess asked.

“No… my weapon to otherthrow him.”

The child smiled.
