Fifty Word Fantasy: Cold Hands, Warm Heart

The witch’s flame carved the ice flowing from the wizard’s hands.

“I’m sorry,” he said. “This is archaic.”

She admired their wedding sculpture of paired swans. “What it brings is revolutionary.”

“It’s an arranged marriage.”

“That allies our peoples.”

“But, do you—”

She gently took his hand. “I do.”
