Flash Fiction: Moonlit Wonder

They bounded ahead, ready for anything as whipping underbrush danced in their moonlit wake.

They howled. Two joyous cries of freedom as a mother saw her daughter embrace her wolven half. Not with the fear she’d had of her first change, but with wonder.
