Sophie held up a stick figure drawing. “This is you. I don’t like you.”
“I don’t like you, either!” Emily frowned back.
The child tore the legs off the picture, and the teenage babysitter fell screaming as her thighs became the scarred stubs of an amputee.
“Do what I say, or your arms are next!”

Dark humor is our ally with many monsters, in fiction and in life. Plus, anyone who’s ever taken care of a small child should be shuddering at the thought of a wee-one with these kinds of powers! ;-)
