Flash Fiction: Skeleton Key

I found a skeleton key. It fits no door in the old, abandoned house.

It fits a dusty diary.

A witch’s lonely poems. I fall in love with her soul reading it on the floor.

The last page is a letter to me.

She awakens in her glass coffin as I turn the key in its lock.
