Flash Fiction: Night Driving

“You’re the ghost trucker, that helps people.”

The driver glanced at his passenger. “You’re the hitchhiker, always seeking her murderer.”

There was a long silence in the big rig cab, then she slid closer.

“Are you lonely, too?”

His arm draped her shoulder. “Not now.”
