Trees and undergrowth swept past, and Pepper clung tight to Briar atop the cat’s bounding stride. “I’ve never gone so fast!”
“He’s building up speed for the ravine!”
“What?!”
Whiskers leapt. Looking down, Pepper’s yell echoed off jagged rocks far below.
