Flash Fiction: Morning’s Light

They awoke lying skin to skin, draped in hotel bedsheets.

He stroked her. “Did they—”

“Yes,” she replied. “Thank you for letting the ghosts possess us, they crossed after finally getting their wedding night.”

They kissed, their own love now rekindled.
