He created Snaps in the lab: An experiment and exercise of his hubris, and desire to fulfill a childhood whimsy.
But as he bottle-fed the sick chimeric cub struggling to hold onto the life he’d given, something changed. After the weeks it took for her to begin thriving, he emerged no longer a brash creator, but a responsible one.
For her part, Snaps always loved him… even fully grown to 600 pounds of feathers and fur. The owlbear and geneticist rarely parted.
