Flash Fiction: Lost Weekend

Alec peered into Sam’s sleeping mind. The flood of emotion stunned him.

“Oh Babe,” the telepath whispered. “I just wanted some fun. You want a lifetime.”

He kissed his forehead, wiped a tear, and rewrote dreaming neurons. Plucking memories one by one, Alec replaced their chance meeting and few days together with a recollection of a simple, if serene, vacation.

“You sweet man,” he said leaving the bed. “I’d only break your heart…”
