Flash Fiction: Maintenance

Sweat and vile grease collect on Isa’s arms.

“It ain’t just routine airship maintenance!” the old engineer laughs. “It’s an adventure!”

Isa grumbled, then saw his grandson.

Shirtless.

Muscled.

Looking back.

She lets her work bring them closer.
