Flash Fiction: The Travelers

“In your lands, we are called demons. Elsewhere, we are simply called other gods,” the man says.

“Why is this?” I ask.

“Because yours is a jealous god,” he answers.

“And vengeful,” adds the woman.

“Basically,” the impish one shrugs, “your god is an asshole.”
