The guard came running, hearing a shriek.
“Help me!”
A bloody tendril grabbed him. The impact of his body drawn through cell bars was a symphony of breaking bone.
“Lovecraft was right!” the prisoner screamed. “Oh God! He was—”
A crunch.
Silence.
