This classic artwork by Keith Parkinson graced the cover of Dragon Magazine #137, which arrived in my mailbox (and fourteen-year-old hands) way back in September of 1988. His vision in this piece really sticks with me. In many a cold Maine winter, like the one outside my window right now… I’m still glancing over my shoulder to look for this dragon in the snow.

Did you encounter it for the first time as I did? Or was it somewhere else? :-) TSR used it on a lot of stuff.

I think I first saw it on cards. Back in the 1990s, I collected illustration cards. I had a lot of fantasy illustrators. Still have them… somewhere
