Mid-Week Muses: “Humanity Lives in Our Flaws”

mwm_pngA weekly compilation of collected microfictions composed by yours truly. If your time is short, these are shorter!

The problems of others
were only of tenuous
concern to her... Mearly
fragile mosaics of
watercolor and gossamer
that she ignored.

"Now you pay for your
pagan infidelities, witch!"

Blood spread. "But I
die free, inquisitor.
Untainted... You will not."

"You're a flawed,
imperfect toad! I've
been genetically
filtered!"

Stout Muriel eyed
the seemingly perfect
Eve. "Humanity lives
in our flaws."

A Molotov broke and set
the police droid ablaze.
It didn't care. Shooting
rubber bullets into the
riot, it guarded the
children.

"Lady Cobra? Jeez, our
team-up is going to
sound like a prank!"

"Why?"

He shook her hand. "Mad
Mongoose, pleased to
meet ya!"

The captain surveyed
the growing camp around
her starship. It was no
longer a crash site, it
was a colony.

Amy returned to a clean
house, children in bed,
and Max washing dishes.

She hugged him from
behind. "You're the
sexiest man alive."

Her dress fell to the
floor as she began
tugging off his shirt.
"Enough foolish games...
Let me give to you! Let
me receive in return."

"We're caretakers of
the forest, not its
warriors."

Lanu looked to his entwife
and their daughter. "Against
this foe, we must be both!"
