Flash Fiction: A Mind of Its Own

He helped her up, and she hugged her lizardman rescuer.

Bob’s dorsal sail sprung up erect at her touch.

Oh gods, I’m sorry!” he said covering his face. “That must be so rude! It’s got a mind of its own sometimes, I can’t control it!”

She grinned with sharp teeth.

He continued, eyes covered. “I was raised by humans, and now that I meet my first Xill girl I’m acting like a pervert!

Snu gave his frilling comb an affectionate stroke. “Hush. It’s impressive. Now let me show you why my belly’s turning blue…”
