When the stars threw down their spears,
And water’d Enoi in our tears:
Did humans smile, their work to see?
Did he who’d slain us, doth make thee?
Fighter, Fighter flying bright,
Amid the stars of the night:
Did human hand and vengeful eye,
Frame thy fearful symmetry?

If Blake disproves, he has my apologies. ;-) I redirected his meaning a bit, but I think this recast verse still captures his framing of awe and fear.
