Flash Fiction: Skyways of Mars

The calm of cloudless sky was broken by the smoke-spewing commotion of the flying aero-train.

“I don’t mean to panic y’all,” Joe shouted to the pilot over the locomotive flap of ornithoptarian wings. “But we’ve got Martian varmints loose on the caboose!”
