Flash Fiction: To Will Evil

In full moon light, words stay the knifepoint above the wax effigy.

“He’s done terrible things to you,” her mentor said. “But there’s a cosmic balance to magic: To will evil, you must become it.”

Sparing the doll, she cries.

He embraces her. “You are strong.”
