Flash Fiction: Startled Birds

It starts with a flock of startled birds. Then another.

The wings of pigeons and starlings eclipse the sky ahead of it. Then it strides, god and monster, into the park.

Ant-like in comparison, I cannot see the titan whole.

Death’s shadow falls across me.
