Flash Fiction: Summer Empress

­­­­­The Summer Empress chugged along, Gar’s hand on her wheel.

“Your airship is akin to her captain,” Regina said, “squat and unkempt.”

“Ya ain’t a queen no more,” he grumbled.

She joined him, regal in overalls. “I know.”

“Bless me altimeter! Ain’t ya lovely!”
