Flash Fiction: Axe Man

Another swing of the axe came. Another guard died not in euphoric homicide, but methodical murder.

“Please!” the last guard begged.

“RELEASE DOROTHY,” the cyborg demanded in monotone.

“Mercy! The witch’s spell binds us!”

The axe fell. “IF I ONLY HAD A HEART…”
