Flash Fiction: Anniversary

He presses play, and the Moonlight Sonata begins.

He pours wine. Checks his suit. Lights candles, marks the circle, casts the spell.

Her ghost appears.

A translucent hand to his, he places a ring.

It clatters on the floor. She is gone.

The music stops.
