The hero paid a coin and stepped off the boat. Skeletal hands on his pole, the ferryman left.
“That’s seven times you’ve misled him,” his assistant said. “You’d think he’d remember you’re not Charon and this isn’t the Styx.”
“He must cross the Lethe to complain.”
