“No freaks of nature on the beach!” Vikki snapped.
Mary and Shelley rubbed sunblock over suture scars and a patchwork of skin tones.
“But it’s a glorious day,” Mary answered.
“Our re-birthdays,” Shelley added. “Mom’s reading Byron, and Dad’s surfing.”
