“System check is go,” the engineer said.
“Pod’s sluggish, but we’re in the leviathan’s blood stream,” the pilot added.
The captain nods. “Time to the target injury?”
“15 minutes, Sir,” the xenobiologist answered.
“Good. We hurt this thing, now let’s heal it.”

I feel this is so wholesome. I was expecting something much more twisted by the end, but this was much more powerful and surprising. I love reading your flash fiction pieces—I don’t know how you do it, but you pack so much into them you can easily forget it’s flash fiction and not part of a larger story. Great work, yet again! :D

Thank you, Lucy! I love to hear of people enjoying my work. :-) I’ve written a lot of microfiction. It started as practice writing and craft honing, but it’s also an art in and of itself.
