“Today Europe, Tomorrow The World”

I’ve been doing a lot of research on World War II, Nazi Germany and a number of the all too real monsters and terrors of that era as I continue my writing on Raid on the Château de la Malartrie. Although my story is set in a very alternate history mixed with superhuman and supernatural elements, my love of history is keeping me grounded; it still feels like a WWII story.

Part of that research has involved reviewing old newsreels, but the little clip above is actually from the 1991 movie, The Rocketeer. Short, simple and evocative… Something about this contrived piece of propaganda has always struck me as eerily close to authentic in tone. Happy Thursday!
