Throwback Thursday: Basil Poledouris – Prologue and Anvil of Crom

Basil Poledouris‘ 1982 soundtrack for Conan the Barbarian is an amazing piece of work from start to finish. And nothing serves as a better opener into it than its own first two tracks in sequence… Those horns and drums in the latter half never fail to move me! I particularly like this mix of the two tracks, as it incorporates the short prologue of the actual film as spoken by the late, great Mako Iwamatsu. Such a voice!
